Just Me?

Is it just me, or do we nursing mothers eat all day long? I am pretty sure that I passed up my 2000 calorie daily allowance after second breakfast. Yep, that's right SECOND breakfast. Hmm, this may be the reason why I could barely dance my way into my jeans yesterday . . . not to mention that zipping them up wasn't even an option. Ahhh, how grateful I am for sweat pants.

Postpartum bodies are just plain commical. I was a fortunate girl. My pregnancy pounds weren't anywhere to be found a week after the births. But what kind of body did I transform into? Optimus Prime? Megatron? Certainly not! I am squishier than the Pillsbury doughboy.

I couldn't believe what I was reading as I scoop icecream from the carton. It is 10:00 p.m. I told myself I should just go to bed, but I decided to have some icecream and try to learn something on my blog. LOL You made me laugh!!

Hmmm, that's funny. I find myself doing the same. Hanging out here with Ben and Jerry's cookie dough. Bill didn't hide it good enough:) It's okay, I have an ice cream radar. I can find the stuff without even looking.

oh Vicki you are SO funny :) I totally cracked up at this! And you are NOT squishier than the pillsbury doughboy! Ahhh...the things I have to look forward to, right?

Too funny, yet so true as I sit here having animal crackers and anything else I can get my hands on. I sure have the doughboy tummy right now. Nice and squishy ;) Even Alex thinks it funny to hide his hand in all the excess belly skin and squishiness... :)

OK. I felt a little guilty so I went and had a spinach salad for lunch. Then had a couple bites of the leftover mac and cheese from Alex's lunch and made myself a nice big latte. Well, I started out with good intentions... :)

I started the day with oatmeal and ended it with icecream! Very nutritious I must say!

Jordi! It's a wonderful thing to look forward to. Stretch marks and blubber are a satisfying reminder that you have sacrificed your body in order to create life. We can hit the gym when the kids are grown:) The cravings don't stop after the pregnancy! Hope you are feeling well my sweet little friend! I think of you and your growing twins ten times a day.

Sounds like you girls have your menus balanced nicely. Pounding that spinach salad or hot bowl of oatmeal means that you'll cancel out the ice cream right? Sounds good to me!
