Our house was a bit empty in the food department so I got brave. Brave to me is heading to Walmart (chaos itself) and bringing the kids along just to make sure I wouldn't get bored. I know there are many people out there who take their kids to the store ALL the time with no glitches -- that's not me. In my case there are ALWAYS glitches.
Walmart isn't convenient like Costco (where they have carts big enough for two kids to sit in the cart *sigh*). Today Ike had to "walk" because we needed to do some serious shopping so there would be no room in the cart. Okay, I'm going to stop here with my story and ask a question: Who has a three year old boy who WALKS? Not I!
We ran through Walmart and yet it still seemed to take twice as long as usual. Ike pulled the cart when I stopped to look at items. He pulled things off the shelves and threw them in the cart. Now I don't know about you, but I have no use for smashed eggs or squished bread. If you have any recipes that call for such ingredients, please do share.
Now, mind you, my dear sweet boy was trying his very best to be helpful. Despite some obvious frustration on my part, I did see this and let him know how grateful I was for his help. And I am very proud to report that I didn't have to use his middle name . . . . *sigh* I need classical music and a hot bath . . . or better yet, a day at the spa!
Heidi, you should have just stayed here and we could have done these adventures together:) Four kids would be fun!
