My sister and I went antique shopping this past weekend. Among my treasures was this little glass pitcher. It matches the larger one that my Grandmother gave me awhile back. Today marks the day she's been in heaven for a year. I miss her.

I coat the meat with rice flour before braising to keep it gluten free. We aren't a gluten free family, but we probably should be. . .

A Work in Progress

Well, both pictures are inaccurate as far as the color goes, but it's probably more like the brighter blue picture. Hmm. I wish it looked more like the darker. Anyway, I saw the color on the Parade of Homes last year and the decorator was kind enough to share the paint colors she used. It's a great color, but now it's time to find new bedding that goes. The owl is embroidered on duck canvas and sooner or later it should turn into a pillow cover.

Noah, a few days shy of two years old, took a four hour nap. During that time, I'm pretty sure he downloaded a fair amount of information. He woke up counting to eleven. He now sings several new songs. And in his manliest, most confident voice calls for me, "Hey, Babe!"
