Ike's been learning about fractions for awhile now. He loved seeing his pizza in fourths and did a good job explaining fractions to me:)

The Arts

Ike's been using these glasses for drums and the paper plates for "symbols." Kate uses the bed for her stage where she sings and dances away. These activities started early this morning and are still going strong.

Art

Cleaning up around here also means setting up art tables. The Parramore children love to create! Truthfully, the main reason we clean is so we can make new messes!

New Bedding New Possibilities

Well, both pictures are inaccurate as far as the color goes, but it's probably more like the brighter blue picture. Hmm. I wish it looked more like the darker. Anyway, I saw the color on the Parade of Homes last year and the decorator was kind enough to share the paint colors she used. It's a great color, but now it's time to find new bedding that goes. The owl is embroidered on duck canvas and sooner or later it should turn into a pillow cover.

Ike

Today Ike (age 7) said, "I was trying to inch my DS." If he didn't have a tape measure in his hand I wouldn't have known what he meant;)

Special Sound Parking Lot

We made this special sound parking lot last night. They had one of these on Pinterest for sight words, which would also work well. When we used this last night, Ike kept asking for me to give him another special sound . . . And another . . . And another. Learning is fun!

My 30th Birthday Present from Ike

I woke up this morning with a headache and it didn't take Ike long to notice. He brought me my vitamins, some ice water, and he wrote out some instructions on taking the "medicine." He also made me this cute little card. I love him.
