From the Garden

My garden produced basil and blueberries. Everything else . . . well, it just didn't work out so well. These are gifts from my Mom's garden, which happens to grow quite bountifully. Thanks, Mom!

Football Practice

After football practice Bill and Isaac go out to the backyard and extend the fun. He was teaching him the art of tackling and I hear Kitty out there shouting enthusiastically, "My turn! My turn!" And there's little Noah who observes and repeats what he sees. There is just SO much goodness and happiness that happens in the backyard!

Dining Adjustments

We are ALWAYS adjusting the use of space in our house. This room is now housing Noah's dresser until we graduate to bunk beds in the near future.

We are in business

Picked up this Ikea shelf from a moving sale. It's our place to organize school supplies as well as toys. YAY! We are now prepared for another year of homeschooling . . . and possibly organized homeschooling. We shall see!

We have wonderful neighbors

Lavender, watermelon, and a large cucumber -- all gifts from our generous neighbors.

Our School/Play Room

I spent a fair part of the morning getting our bonus room set up for the coming school year. I had it all nice and tidy. Organized. Toys all in their correct bins. It was a wonderful sight . . . even if just for a few minutes. By the time I got my camera up there it was torn into like any playroom should be I suppose.

Noah's Dresser

We picked up a dresser for Noah at an antique store a few weeks ago and just finished putting a nice, shiny, clear gloss on it.  The only issue with it is that we can't squeeze it into the boys' room. So here it is, lookin' all spiffy in my dining room:) 

Locker Option

These fantastic vintage lockers are still in the garage airing out from their recent makeover. 

I put some Ikea storage boxes on the shelves to try out the look. 

They are much more affordable than the oh-so-stylish vintage locker baskets.
